I wear prescription glasses being very myopic and sometimes it's an advantage while woodworking as I've got some eye protection already but not enough when construction debris is flying and woodchips and dust cover my lenses often forcing me to make quick cleanings that scratch my $400+ glasses. Now the cheaper off-the-shelf goggles cloud up with leaky seals and the most common eye protectors are for non glass wearing folks only. Nowhere did it say these would fit over my prescription lenses...but they looked like they would. And they did very well. They don't leak at the bottom and don't allow my breathing to fog up the lenses as they are well ventilated. Seem to work in colder temps too. They also look about as good as my 50 dollar Ski googles.. in fact they seem they might be good for skiing or boarding in the winter too and at only 14 or 15 bucks pretty good looking too. Fits with most dust masks and with headphones too. The real deal.

Update: I did notice they do fog up too at temps above 80 degrees or even less so the antifog seems to not work so well. Maybe ski goggle anti fog paste is needed. Not sure if there is a solution to that. Maybe a hard hat over the head to shade the lens? or bandana as it seems sweat from forehead might be causing them to fog. Only after a bit of time and maybe just keep a clean clothe wipe to clean 'em off. Maybe just use more open cheaper lens...(but those with prescription lens might be out of luck there. )

We use these at school for my son. He's in first grade and has sensory processing disorder, which makes it very difficult for him to tune out noises and focus in the classroom. These earplugs diffuse just enough noise to allow him to attend to his work and to the teacher. He also uses them during assemblies and in the cafeteria where it's very noisy. They're much more discrete than the headphones often used to help children in classroom settings.

I bought the 47LM6700 a couple weeks ago. This thing is beautiful when turned off. The silver bezzel is very small and looks awesome. Turned on the picture is great in dark rooms but the glossy screen gives trouble in bright rooms. What good are dark black levels when the glossy screen just replaces dark scenes with a mirror right back at you? But most new TVs have glossy screens so it is on par. My 5 year old Toshiba LCD had a worse picture but at least it has a matte screen. It took me a few days to get the picture settings adjusted just right. I found that the energy saving mode needs to be set at a minimum of around 40 or higher. Any lower and it starts messing with the colors. I see very good color reproduction and very good black levels. No light bleed through. Sometimes I will see some jaggies which I'm looking for a setting to adjust. I see this because I am looking at screen quality but my wife who knows nothing of these details is absolutely amazed at the picture. The Smart TV features are great too. The internet works good. It's not the best but hey, it's a tv not a computer. The 2D to 3D works better than expected. I like watching Youtube videos converted to 3D.
Overall, a great tv with a great picture. I just wish it had a matte screen.

I've had this TV for about a month and could not be more pleased. I bought it to upgrade the LCD in our living room becuase it was a little too small for the space. Picture is clean; while it does take a little work with the settings to get the picture exactly like you want it, I am yet to find a TV where that is not the case. It also has memory slots for custom picture settings if you, like me, prefer sports to display differntly than movies. I run everything through a receiver so I can't speak on the sound. Wireless works great. While the menu does take some navigating to get comfortable with, that is the price you pay when you buy a TV with this much stuff on it. For the price, I can't imagine not buying this TV.

A lot of reviews discuss problems with the remote becuase it is a pointer instead of a standard remote. I was so nervous about the reviews that I bought a new wireless mouse to connect through a USB before the TV was even delivered. It was a waste of money. I have no problems with the remote. If you have any experience with a Wii remote, you will actually be pleased with how much better the TV remote responds. I can be holding the remote sidewises pointing away from the TV, give it a little shake, and it centers itself on the screen and responds as if I was pointing it directly at the TV. It works from 30 ft away and is very responsive. In fact, given the number of options available with the Smart Apps, I believe a standard remote would be more of a pain to cycle through all the menues using arrows. It's different, but once you get comfortable with it (took me about a day) I actually prefer it.

Well, we bought this t.v. in early April and by the end of May, it stopped working. It was wonderful when it worked, but died within 2 months. Quick calls to Sony revealed this is a common problem they're having with this t.v. and they said we need to replace the circuit board. We waited a couple days before a person from their local service facility called. That person informed us they didn't have the board in-stock and it would be 4-7 days. Well, we're still waiting. They have not been in-touch, we don't know what the hold up is. We have to chase them constantly to find out what's going on. Meanwhile, our t.v. still doesn't work. (When we try to turn it on, it goes immediately to standby mode.) Soooo disappointed that we shelled out this kind of money for a t.v. that is faulty and Sony isn't particularly motivated to get us up and running again.

I researched samsung tvs until I was exhausted, but then chose to pass on all the media-ready ones given the unreliability and poorly reviewed samsung platform for netflix. This one is not quite as slim as the one-inch slim led ones, but given it was going into a bookshelf and not on a wall, the extra two inches of depth did not matter. The picture, right out of the box, is phenomenal. Paired with a new bluray player (where I now get netflix, amazon prime movies, etc..) I have a great system, and the tv cost half of what the slim samsung tvs cost. This tv is exactly what I needed, and my wallet could handle.

I haven't had a TV since June 2007. I looked around for over a year before deciding on the Panasonic VIERA TC-L42ET5 42-Inch 1080p 120Hz 3D Full HD IPS LED-LCD TV with 4 Pairs of Polarized 3D Glasses. I bought when it was offered as the Deal of the Day. It's hooked up with the Sony BDP-S390 Blu-ray Disc Player with Wi-Fi. After a few days of having it on a table with the enclosed stand, I decided to have it wall mounted and purchased the Space Saver Full Motion Flat Screen TV Wall Mount Bracket for 17-inch to 42-inch Screens. Wall mounting noticeably improved sound quality from the TV's internal speakers. My "soundbar" is a $25 subwoofer and mini speakers from Radio Shack connected with a toslink converter. For less than $800 I have everything I want (and more) in an entertainment center. I like that everything's wireless. I have a Netflix account and enjoy listening to Pandora. Haven't used the 3D feature yet, but am sure it will be a lot of fun too. I'm not as tech savvy as many of the reviewers here, so don't use many of the apps that are available. In one word, my visual and listening experience with my cobbled-together system is FANTASTIC.
